Pharmacovigilance-a new standard for drug safety management

On the occasion of the promulgation and implementation of the newly revised the People's Republic of China Drug Administration Law, the second Guizhou Pharmacovigilance Conference, jointly sponsored by the Guizhou Provincial Drug Administration and the Guizhou Provincial Health Commission, and hosted by the Guizhou Drug Evaluation Center, was held in Guiyang International Conference Center on October 30-31, 2019.

The theme of this conference is "Keep in mind the first heart of pharmacovigilance and protect the health of the people".

More than 300 medical and health managers in Guizhou Province, medical staff from major medical institutions in prefectures and cities, and full-time pharmacovigilance personnel from pharmaceutical companies attended the conference. Pharmacovigilance experts and scholars from the State Food and Drug Administration and Shanghai, Yunnan, Guangdong and other places gave special lectures on the development status, advanced ideas and management concepts of "pharmacovigilance" for the participants. Our pharmacovigilance and adverse reactions full-time management staff also participated in the conference and benefited a lot.

The conference closely follows the scientific and professional characteristics of "pharmacovigilance" knowledge, improves the understanding and understanding of pharmacovigilance by the majority of medical workers in Guizhou Province, promotes the improvement of the risk management system of drug use and equipment use in units at all levels, and popularizes the public's knowledge of safe drug use.
